Hi, I’m the woman behind How Ya Livin’?
At the end of this month, I’ll be moving into roughly 300 square feet on my parents’ property in country Florida, trading extra space and extra stuff for a simpler life, a longer commute, and what I hope is a little more breathing room.
This blog started somewhere between the storage bins, life transitions, emotional support coffee, and the realization that I was entering a completely different season of life.
My kids need me differently now.
My parents need me a little more.
And somewhere in the middle of all that, I realized I needed a change too.
So here I am:
downsizing my life,
learning to live smaller,
driving over an hour to the same job,
and trying to figure out what this next chapter looks like in real time.
How Ya Livin’? is part tiny living blog, part life transition diary, and part ongoing conversation about simplifying life without losing yourself in the process.
You’ll find:
- camper life realities
- downsizing struggles
- organization wins and disasters
- long commute reflections
- family transitions
- country Florida sunsets
- coffee-fueled problem solving
- and honest stories about rebuilding life in smaller spaces
This isn’t a perfectly curated “minimalist lifestyle” blog.
I still own too many mugs.
I get emotionally attached to random objects.
And there’s a very good chance I’ll cry over storage totes at least once during this move.
But I’m learning that sometimes freedom doesn’t look like running away.
Sometimes it looks like slowing down, living differently, and figuring yourself out one small step at a time.
So welcome to How Ya Livin’?
Grab a coffee and stay awhile.
